We are recruiting on behalf of a marketing agency for a Traffic Manager to lead the Creative team.

Traffic Manager

As Traffic Manager you will be reporting and working with the ECD you will serve as a liaison between the account team, digital, social teams including sales representatives, production houses and management team and the creative department.  You will also supervise the production art team to prepare printer-ready files for all artwork created.  In addition to interfacing effectively with all department heads and the Creative team members, this individual must have excellent organizational abilities, be comfortable working in a deadline driven time sensitive work environment and capable of managing multiple projects with overlapping and/or conflicting deadlines

You will be responsible for managing the flow of work to ensure that all projects input to the studio are completed on time. You will also ensure that projects are quoted and then completed to budget.  The key is that you work closely with the account management and creative teams to ensure that works flows efficiently through the agency from the initial brief to the point where it is released from the studio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 
  • Provide budgetary status to VP Operations and ECD
  • Responsible for all status reports and tracking of changes, approvals and direction from internal, client and customer meetings
  • Ensure that the creative team operates in an efficient and innovative manner
  • Maintain an up-to-date Freelance directory
  • Track time spent on a job y analyzing the time sheets completed by team members
  • Ensures that all work produced is technically correct resulting in hi-quality, print-ready files
  • Assigns, schedules and estimates all production art
  • Ensures that production pieces are produced timely, on budget and with the degree of quality promised to the client
  • Maintains interaction with print production and art directors on scope of projects
  • Identify external service providers, such as illustrators, photographers, video production companies and printers, who will be producing final files
  • Directs and guides production artists in preparation of files
  • Collaborates, as needed, with art directors to design and produce pieces for new business and client presentation
  • Remains current on industry trends and technology
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 
  • Degree in Computer Graphics or related field
  • 7+ of related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Solid understanding of all production/printer-industry technical requirements required
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from account services, clients and management
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw solid valid conclusions
