Membership Sales and Communications Manager

Our golf club is seeking an energetic individual to manage  Membership Sales, Club communications and social media plans for the Club. Reporting to and working with the General Manager, and management team in a proactive manner in order to achieve the Club’s goals and objectives. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the General Manager to develop, manage and maintain the Club’s branding identity and to indentify outbound marketing awareness initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain an efficient customer-focused membership sales and service delivery model to ensure that membership sales, membership retention and members satisfaction is achieved at a standard to maintain the required member numbers annually.
  • Maintain all membership sales and payment schedules as required.
  • Manage and maintain the member database within all areas of Jonas Software, ensuring that all data is processed accurately and is compliant with governmental Privacy Policies.
  • Debenture status, work with the Accountant regarding the new issues and redemptions.
  • Manage all Website development and ongoing updates and maintenance.
  • Manage and coordinate all Member and club communications, electronic and printed.
  • Working with the General Manager to achieve improved efficienciesutilizing technology.
  • Working with the General Manager to streamline the budget and delivery process through a more efficient use of the Jonas Software platform.
  • Provide feedback to the General Manager regarding the array of available stock and custom reports in Jonas and the metrics which they identify.
  • Working with the General Manager to develop and improve upon existing administrative processes and administrative functionalities. 

Job Tasks Include:

  • Support the Club’s Management team with regular meetings in order to maintain a proactive planning and communication delivery model.
  • Attend Membership and marketing Committee meetings as required, and provide and speak to the required reports
  • Membership database updates on a regular basis including address, contact information, membership category.
  • Creation of membership Status Reports for analysis by Board of Directors and Membership Committee
  • General correspondence with individual member regarding club policies, promotions and member accounts, via the development of stock template letters.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of annual membership dues invoices.
  • Processing of member resignations including debenture redemption.
  • Development and preparation of Club marketing and sales collateral i.e., membership, golf events and programming as required.
  • Manage all membership sales correspondence and packages for potential new members, conduct facility tours, develop and maintain “Potential Member Database”.
  • Coordinate the execution of photos of property, member and non-member events for the purpose of sales and marketing activities.
  • Organize and attend special Membership events such as Open Houses and Test Drive Days and follow-up with attendees.
  • Processing new member applications via checklist on boarding, welcome letter, account setup, locker allocation, welcome tour etc.
  • Schedule and produce Club communications bi-weekly and monthly
  • Manage, annual membership Roster.
  • Assist with the follow-up with overdue and delinquent accounts and the communication and posting of said accounts.
  • Assist with monthly and ad-hoc credit card charges, online payments and preauthorized payments and allocate accordingly.
  • Prepare year end reports regarding Memberships leads, Sales, Initiation Fees, Debentures and Annual Dues.
