Digital Specialist

We are recruiting on behalf of a national brand located in downtown Toronto. 

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Digital, the Digital Specialist will be responsible for delivery and support of all digital efforts. This role requires experience with analytics deployment, reporting & analysis, web design, e-mail marketing, product development, content management systems and project management.  This position will collaborate with internal project teams as well as external agency partners to deliver against marketing and content objectives.

Analytics
  • Deliver ongoing & ad-hoc digital analytics reporting, from KPI definition to data analysis and insights presentation to business stakeholders
  • Develop, analyze and optimize dashboards and reports based on multi-channel interactions (web, mobile app, e-mail), data sources (social, search, paid, organic) and initiatives (programs, media campaigns)
  • Identify trends, derive insights and recommend fact-based enhancement opportunities across all channels & programs
  • Evangelize the benefits of analytics and proactively extract meaning from raw data in support of all organizational initiatives and stakeholders
Communications
  • Analyze & develop audience segmentation models and manage distribution lists
  • Configure, deploy and optimize e-communications (e-mail, app notifications) using marketing automation and design tools
  • Manage content deployment (web & mobile app) and website page builds / creative updates via CMS and working with agency partners
  • Conduct quality assurance and due diligence analysis on all outputs
  • Collaborate with internal teams and maintain communication project schedules
  • Support CRM management and deployment projects
  • Support marketing content creation and messaging based on analytics insights and best practices
 Strategy & Special Projects
  • Support app development & evolution through data-backed insights
  • Research, document and develop in-house subject matter expertise on analytics and digital communications best practices
  • Manage external agencies and consultants based upon negotiated deliverables to ensure the execution of agreed-upon objectives
  • Represent the interests of the company to various stakeholders
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Digital Solutions

 Your Background
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, science, marketing, business administration, or other related discipline 
  • 2+ years’ Experience working within a CMS (e.g. Drupal, WordPress, Joomla); bonus if have experience with headless CMS systems (e.g. Prismic)
  • Experience with database analysis and writing SQL queries
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Intermediate understanding of UI/UX best practices and writing for the web
    • Proficiency in Windows OS and productivity applications suite
  • 3+ years’ experience building dashboards and custom reports to derive business insights from raw data
  • 3+ years’ experience implementing tracking solutions in Google Analytics; familiarity with Data Studio and Firebase
  • Knowledge of Tag Management tools such as Google Tag Manager
  • 2+ years’ experience in web design; proficiency in HTML/CSS and familiarity with JS
