We are hiring on behalf of a marketing agency for a Social Media Strategist. 

Social Media Strategist

We are presently seeking a Social Strategist who is a self-starter and agile in their ability to dive into whatever is needed, while driving our social media and overall communications and marketing strategy. You are a highly motivated individual with experience and passion for designing and implementing the client’s social media strategy, creating relevant content, and maximizing community participation and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

•         Oversee day-to-day social media and content marketing strategy and implementation

•         Create and deploy informative and appealing content for social posts, blogs, landing                    

           pages, email newsletter, based on strategy, audience and the overall  goals and objectives  of the

           organization

•         Responsible for driving audience growth and engagement against a set of digital KPIs

•         Keep up-to-date on trends with the latest social media best practices and technologies, 

           along with top influencers, competitors, and trends 

•         Build content calendars and manage deployment with appropriate timelines for posting

•         Establish processes and standards for content planning, approvals and execution

•         Prepare and produce agency decks and communication deliverables to key stakeholders

•         Liaise regularly with Sr. Director of Strategy to evolve the overall digital strategy for clients

•         Assess new opportunities and proposals as well as support strategic implementation of               

           these initiatives

•         Act as brand steward to ensure all marketing and communications materials are on-

           brand and on-strategy

•         Set up and produce various performance and activity reports generated from the digital 

           marketing management and administration tools

•         Advanced Microsoft Office skills, working knowledge of Adobe creative suite and online 

          email software

•         Develop and maintain the content calendar and social roadmap.

•         Create social content, amplifying conversations and outreach that compliment brand                      

          campaigns, marketing and custom programs.

•         Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and copy).

•         Ensure all social programs and campaigns are aligned and executed to clear KPIs.

•         Monthly KPI reporting and contribution to campaign post-mortems.

•         Contribute and advise on overarching social media strategy and planning

•         Consult and advise multiple stakeholders, including Marcom managers, customers, 

           partners and agencies to support social media program

•         Monitor and manage the health of client's social channels, working closely with        

           Service and PR to address any concerns

•         Act as an advocate across social media platforms, engaging in dialogue and answering 

          questions where appropriate

Qualifications:

•          5+ years’ relevant work experience within marketing/communications and social media

•          Excellent communication skills, exceptional interpersonal abilities, strong organizational skills, and proven ability to handle member feedback in a professional manner.

•          In-depth knowledge and experience with current social media tactics and platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)

•          Experience with social management tools, social listening tools and web analytics

•          Ability to research trends, create and curate content to post to various social media platforms and update regularly on our bilingual website

•          Be able to design, update and implement email campaigns using online tools (ie. Campaign monitor).

•          Knowledgeable about current social media trends, innovations and best practices, web content SEO and how all content operates within the business’s marketing funnel.

•          Solid understanding of content marketing, SEO, and social media analytics

•          Ability to design visuals for social media with image creation software or design tools such as Photoshop, Canva or similar

•          Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills; able to excel under minimal supervision

    

 Additional Assets:

  • Expert knowledge of popular social media channels including Twitter, Facebook,  YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+ , Vine, Instagram +blogs
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media best practices and tools
  • Digitally savvy, understands how social fits into a broader 360° campaigns
